# 1.9.3 vCASH and CASH

vCASH (Vesting CASH) and CASH are integral components of the Cashtap ecosystem, each serving distinct purposes while maintaining a fixed exchange rate.

* vCASH (Vesting CASH):\
  vCASH is a utility token designed specifically for internal platform use. It plays a key role in staking rewards and vesting payouts, ensuring efficient and secure participation in the Cashtap network.
* * Purpose: Used exclusively for staking activities and to distribute rewards over time.
  * Exchangeability: vCASH can be seamlessly swapped for CASH at a fixed 1:1 exchange rate, offering flexibility to users.
* CASH:\
  CASH is the primary cryptocurrency powering the Cashtap ecosystem. It serves as the medium for transactions, staking, and rewards across the platform.
